So Aaron and I are always trying new ways to integrate technology and networking (slash) communication into our somewhat unorthodox untethered lifestyle. We just traded in the aircard for two blackberries (and have since seen the light) so I am testing the ease of on-the-go blogging…so far so good. We’ll see how it comes out.

If you read any business magazines, or follow “corporate trends” at all, you have undoubtedly seen articles about the emerging new work environment – everything from Google’s bean bag chairs to Pixar’s world of toys and imagination. The above photo was our version, fondly monikered “The Wall” and if it looks like permanent marker on a home office wall, that’s good, because thats exactly what it is. It started on a whim and before we read about these like minded corporate giants. It was born one day, early on in what may not have been our entrepreneurial infancy, but certainly just after we became self aware of what this “thing” was inside of both of us. (It must’ve been like when Adam and Eve first discovered that they were naked…this dual sense of “Uh oh” and “Ohh Wow!” ) when, during an intense conversation, Aaron made a loud statement that made our eye sort of bulge with sudden understanding and – without warning, Aaron whirled around in his chair, large marker in hand and began writing on the wall.
For us, it WAS the writing on the wall – from early on, we’ve understood that “being” an entrepreneur doesn’t begin and end, isn’t a job title, isn’t limited to a location; it’s like “being” optimistic. We’ve struck out with this crazy passion for creating, building, strategizing, inventing, solving and in the end, succeeding – and we’ve realized that our method (and our madness) is bigger than just one “job” or “project” …we’ve realized its in everything we do, from the books we read, to the words we write, its our work and our play, it’s in the people we connect with and the activities that spark our interest. It’s in the best moments and the worst, it’s the ever present “GPS voice of direction” that just won’t turn off…Pie-Shaped Wedge is the name of the parent company for our many different endeavors. On this site, I hope to share our talents, make us available for freelance work, make friends and networking connections as well as tell stories of other entrepreneurs just like Aaron and I.
We hope you enjoy this site – please check out our biography & contact page for more information about us, and feel free to contact us (If you’re an entrepreneur, please tell us your story…if you’re thinking about being an entrepreneur, tell us how we can help you)
